In February 2011 we were pleased to visit Birstall Youth Cafe  to present the young people with a gas BBQ, two packs of 72 table tennis balls and four footballs. We pledged a further £150 towards technology equipment of their choice if they could match the sum. Birstall Youth Cafe Chairman, Luke Hartwell, said their members were well on their way to achieving this sum by arranging their second indoor car boot sale. Watch this space for further developments! Members meet two evenings a week at the sports pavilion on School Lane in Birstall where they enjoy a range of activities. The Cafe is sponsored by Birstall Parish Council. PS: in March 2011 we were happy to present the £150 matched funding after "Cafe" members held a successful Indoor Car Boot Sale! Youth Cafe Members helped with the water station and BBQ at our 2011 Watermead Challenge.
